Question of the week

How many growers in Mendocino County will vote for Measure B hoping it will lower supply and jack up prices?

Comments:
three, do I win a prize if I am right

Very few. Most of them are too paranoid to register for anything, especially the vote.

only the fools--
the question really is;

How many will vote at all

The argument the pro measure B folks make is clever--it confuses the issue. They say they are not against medical marijuana, but trying to weed out(pun intended)the criminal element. They have lots of scare stories in their blurbs--mostly BS I'm thinking.

The anti-measure B folks say that the change would focus on the wrong people and not be effective against the people it is intended for.

No one is talking about the positive effects pot has had on mendo-land.
Many of the scare stories are as much related to the state of the country and the world as they are to pot.

I guess some folks think others choose to live in mendonesia because of the the liberal pot laws.

I don't like the low prices, but sending more people to jail is a lousy idea---then as the supply drops and prices rise, the criminals get more interested and the moms and pops get less interested.

I do think it is important to somehow integrate the pot cultivation culture with the rest of productive society, but measure B is NOT THE WAY TO DO IT.

I call that the Eric Heimstadt affect, named after the Humboldt Hill/Arcata grower who is actively encouraging the Arcata City Council to cap the number of mmj dispensaries at their current number, which would lock in the economic advantage for his Humboldt Medical Supply. He's been smooching butt for Steve Westly, Bonnie Neely and especially Paul Gallegos for years in hopes of keeping himself in the good graces of law enforcement.

"No one is talking about the positive effects pot has had on mendo-land."

Like rat poison in the creeks, automatic weapons, locked gates, cocaine, booby traps, and addicted kids?

That is an incredibly stupid question even coming from a complete airhead like Eric

Thank you, Mr. Druglord.

Now answer the question.

When you ask Mr. Druglord to answer the question, are you referring to Eric? Or did you mean Mr. Dugong?

The limit on the number of plants the Measure B would impose is not the real issue.

The more important issue is that under the measure that "B" would replace(measure G), the county is directed NOT to spend resources on pot enforcement.

If measure B is passed the county would once again be able to spend precious money on anti-pot cultivation programs.

Measure B sounds like the product of the folks that would like to make mendocino county into "santa rosa north". Sanitize the place, make a segment of the community outlaws and get rid of them. Then the developers could make clean and neat neighborhoods that folks from somewhere else could live in.

Please understand that a vote for Measure B would do more harm than good.

The "mom and pop" growers of mendocino are the heart of the county, the source of creativity, community and income. Why would the county want to disrupt productive community.

My guess is that "measure B" will benefit a small group of developers and eventually lead to unnecessary and unwanted development that would make a few people richer and lower the quality of life for many in the long term.

Well, I do like the part about "getting rid of outlaws." Pot growers are not welcome in this community and the sooner they get the message the better. They have done tremendous damage to our social fabric over the years.

And now it's payback time.

Eric does more damage to the social fabric of this county in one month than most pot growers do in a lifetime.
Hypocritical poseur, I hope he chokes on his furballs.

Nice try, 8:27, but CAMP has your number--and now, your ISP.

CAMP has Eric's number and his ISP too, so why doesn't CAMP bust Eric for money laundering?

Oh right, Eric is pimping for the CHP so I guess CAMP lets him alone.

I'm a proud member of the Humboldt organic sun grown ganga growers union. Eric is a fucking narc (IMHO). A real full service lawyer.
A modest little person, with much to be modest about. He loves nature in spite of what it did to him.

judging from the many ads on the radio and letters to the editor in the mendo papers i would be very surprised if measure B did not pass...

in the neighborhoods of willits and ukiah the wage-slaves hate that smell, the smell of money they're not getting...

I hope everybody votes NO on B

The problem has arisen because of some stupid people were growing in cities like Ukiah with NO consideration for neighbors, thinking they did not need to still be discreet and thoughtful...

Their perspective is: the LAW says I CAN grow it, and grow it I will with regard for anybody else...

and this mindset kept growing until it created a backlash, as now manifest in Prop B...

This would NOT even be an issue IF these folks had kept their cool, instead of being MJ anarchists without a shred of responsibility...

Those of us who grow in the rural areas are very pissed at these city growers who have created this problem without any thought as to the efect of their actions...

There is a new generation of younger growers who simply do not give a shit about anybody else, and these selfish people are blowing it for the rest of us, and WE'RE PISSED at the inconsiderate jerks who have caused this problem...

This will unravel all the hard work a lot of people have worked on via Measure G, with the vision & help of former Sheriff Tony Craver

Please ask your friends to vote NO on B

"There is a new generation of younger growers who simply do not give a shit about anybody else, and these selfish people are blowing it for the rest of us, and WE'RE PISSED at the inconsiderate jerks who have caused this problem..."

Like you give a shit about anyone? You "older growers" are the ones who pioneered dumping rat poison in our creeks, locked gates, automatic weapons, pot for cocaine, and harassment of every neighbor in sight.

We can't carry you anymore. One way or another, your free ride here is over.
